July 6, 2009 - BOWLES TAKES OVER NASCAR CAMPING WORLD WEST SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD WITH IRWINDALE WIN
Californian scores his third consecutive win at the half-mile oval with a near perfect run

IRWINDALE, CALIF. – American Jason Bowles is proving unbeatable at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, winning his third consecutive NASCAR Camping World West Series race at the California oval on Saturday night (July 4). In capturing the victory, the Californian not only extended his current 2009 win streak to two, but also took over the championship lead.

The Independence Day night of racing got off to an ideal start for Bowles, as the two-time defending race winner at Irwindale topped the speed charts at the conclusion of the two afternoon practice sessions. Given this performance and the former karting and formula car star’s previous history at the half-mile track, it came as no surprise that Bowles was the driver both the fans and the competitors were keeping an eye on when single-car qualifying got underway. The No. 6 Sunrise Ford/Oakley/Joe Gibbs Racing Oil/GS 610/RPM 12/Justice Brothers/Bell/Ford driver did not disappoint, capturing his third pole position of the season and the ninth of his NASCAR Camping World West career.

A few hours later, Bowles was back behind the wheel at his home track, leading the 21-car field to the green flag. Setting the stage for what was to be a commanding performance in front of a sell-out crowd, the Sunrise Ford race pilot led the opening 19 laps, before briefly relinquishing lead. Upon retaking the top-spot via a nice outside lane pass, the Californian never looked back. Leading 132 laps of the 200-lap affair, Bowles was the first driver to the checkered flag, capturing his third consecutive NASCAR Camping World West win at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. In winning Round Eight, his third victory of the season, Bowles took over the championship lead, holding a 24 points advantage (1364-1340) over second place.

July 2, 2009 - BOWLES TRAVELS TO IRWINDALE SEEKING A THIRD CONSECUTIVE NASCAR CAMPING WORLD WEST WIN AT THE CALIFORNIA OVAL
The championship runner-up enters Round Eight as the most recent series race winner

IRWINDALE, CALIF. – Jason Bowles enters the second half of the 2009 NASCAR Camping World West Series season on July 4th at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale as the driver everyone is keeping an eye on. The Californian is not only currently second in the title chase, but also the most recent series race winner and defending race winner at Irwindale.

In 2008, Bowles followed up his win at the Infineon Raceway road course with a superb victory at the Irwindale oval, en route to taking second place in the championship fight. One year later, the former formula car and karting star is poised to accomplish the feat for a second consecutive season. Given Bowles already has two wins this season in his No. 6 Sunrise Ford/Oakley/Joe Gibbs Racing Oil/GS 610/RPM 12/Justice Brothers/Bell/Ford, has yet to finish outside the top-10, and has won the two previous NASCAR Camping World West Series races at Irwindale from the pole position, few are betting against the 2007 Rookie of the Year finding continued success at the California oval.

June 22, 2009 - BOWLES RETURNS TO NASCAR CAMPING WORLD WEST VICTORY LANE AT INFINEON RACEWAY
Title contender promoted to second consecutive win at the California road course following a penalty

SONOMA, CALIF. – American Jason Bowles is back in victory lane, following a dramatic finish in Saturday’s (June 20) Round Seven of the NASCAR Camping World West Series at Infineon Raceway. The title contender was awarded the win following a post-race penalty to his Sunrise Ford teammate, giving Bowles his second win of the season.

Going up against not only his fellow NASCAR Camping World West regulars, but also NASCAR Sprint Cup and leading sports car drivers, Bowles commenced the two-day event at Infineon Raceway with a pair of practice sessions. While the former formula car and karting standout did not post the leading times he desired, he was among the front-runners in both sessions, ending sixth and fourth on the time charts.

Bowles, continually working on the setup of his car and fine-tuning his driving style to the conditions, showed his true speed in single-car qualifying around the 1.99-mile road course in Northern California. When the checkered flag waved on Friday afternoon (June 19), the defending race winner had narrowly missed the pole position, turning the second fastest time, just behind his teammate.
